Ms. Spencer is a partner in the firm’s Park City, Utah office where she practices family law, estate planning and business planning. Ms. Spencer’s practice focuses on a wide range of family law issues, including divorce, child custody, modification, enforcement, termination of parental rights and adoption. Ms. Spencer’s personal background enhances her ability to relate to her clients and enables her to be sensitive to the impact these matters have on families, especially children. Ms. Spencer is proud of the work that family law attorneys provide to their clients and advocates toward resolutions outside the courtroom, as this has the least detrimental effect upon the family. However, Ms. Spencer understands that there are times that the involvement of the court is necessary to reach a resolution, and, in that case, she is fully prepared to represent her client’s best interests in a courtroom setting.
Ms. Spencer also works as a family law mediator in Wyoming. She is available to assist parents with creating a parenting plan for their children following divorce.
Ms. Spencer has enjoyed transitioning her practice to also include assisting clients with their estate planning and business planning needs. Ms. Spencer’s focus on the client’s individual goals allows her to assist clients in creating a specific plan to fit their needs.
Most of Ms. Spencer’s personal life is dedicated to her family. Her children keep life busy and fun.
Education and Licensure: Ms. Spencer received a B.A. in Psychology and Administration of Justice, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of Wyoming in 1999 and then her law degree from the University of Wyoming, School of Law in 2002. Ms. Spencer is licensed to practice law in Utah and Wyoming.
Prior Experience: Prior to joining Long Reimer Winegar LLP, Ms. Spencer worked in private practice primarily in the area of family law. Ms. Spencer has maintained her roots in Wyoming by serving for many years as the Town Attorney for the Town of Mountain View in Uinta County, Wyoming.
Community Service: Ms. Spencer is a past member of the Summit County Fair Board and is currently serving on the Board of PC Tots. She is a member of the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and the Park City Community Foundation Women’s Giving Fund. Ms. Spencer was a member of Leadership Park City Class XIX. She enjoys volunteering at her children’s school and being involved in the Park City community.
