Christopher M. Reimer
Summary of Practice: Mr. Reimer’s practice consists primarily of private client services, including tax planning, estate planning, and also includes transactional areas of real estate, corporate law, trust & probate administration, situs planning, and asset protection planning.
Education: Mr. Reimer received a B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude and with honors, from the University of Wyoming in 2001, and then his J.D. with honors in 2004. He obtained a master of laws in taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Denver in 2006.
Licensure: Mr. Reimer is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, United States Tax Court, and the United States District Court of Wyoming. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming.
From Chambers and Partners: Christopher Reimer is based in Jackson, which is the key centre for Wyoming’s growing private trust company market. Reimer is recognised for his expertise in setting up and administering private trust companies, usually for out-of-state and international clients. One interviewee says Reimer has “built a great practice in the Jackson Hole area,” adding that he has “a lot of international expertise” in trusts and estates work.
Community Service: Mr. Reimer has served as a Director of the Wyoming State Bar Foundation, Director of the Teton County Library Foundation, Chair of the Wyoming State Bar Taxation Committee, Commissioner of Equal Justice Wyoming (formerly known as the Wyoming Center for Legal Aid), and the First Interstate Bank Community Advisory Board.
