Mr. Daraie has been a Wyoming resident for most of his life and grew up in Casper, Wyoming. He joined the firm in 2019 and works out of the firm’s Jackson, Wyoming office.

Education and Licensure: Mr. Daraie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and French from the University of Wyoming (2006). He received his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Wyoming College of Law (2010) and was nominated Outstanding Student of the Class of 2010. Mr. Daraie is licensed to practice law in Wyoming, Colorado, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Prior Experience: Mr. Daraie has a somewhat diverse legal background. During law school, he interned with the General Counsel’s Office for the University of Wyoming, assisting with contract, property, and employment issues. He also served as the student director for the College of Law’s Prosecution Assistance Program. In that role, he worked with other students, faculty, and local prosecutors to draft briefs and provide oral argument in criminal cases.

After law school, Mr. Daraie served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office. He worked in the Criminal Division, writing and arguing criminal appeals before the Wyoming Supreme Court. He transferred to the Civil Division where he practiced administrative and contract law, representing various State agencies including the Wyoming Board of Land Commissioners, State Loan and Investment Board, and the Industrial Siting Council. In 2015, Mr. Daraie joined the Tort Litigation section of the Attorney General’s Office, focusing on trial work and representing State employees and peace officers in civil-rights, personal-injury, and contract cases.
